Arbutus Introductory Training
The Arbutus Introductory Course is designed for those new to Analyzer and want to acquire the fundamental skills required to kickstart their Arbutus journey, or existing Arbutus users who want to formalise their existing knowledge to take full advantage of all of Arbutus’ features.
This 3-day course delivered In person or via live-virtual sessions, allows learners to explore the full functionality of Arbutus through a range of practical activities, as well as the opportunity for learners to bring real-life data challenges to the session and to learn how to resolve these using Arbutus.
The course will teach learners everything that they need to know how to effectively use Analyzer, including:
- Accessing data from a variety of data sources.
- Blending / consolidating data from different source systems.
- Advanced dupicate detection
- Data cleaning / Transformation.
- Visualising data.
- Advanced text and date/time analysis
The 3-day course covers similar content to the 1-day course, but includes more in-session “hands on” activities to provide a greater range of practical application, as well as the opportunity for learners to bring real-life data challenges to the session and to learn how to resolve these using Arbutus. PowerBI, a Microsoft data visualisation tool, is generating a lot of interest at the moment as teams see the attraction of a “free” visualisation tool.
Our courses are designed for learners with no prior PowerBI experience who want to understand how to use PowerBI to represent data in a visual manner and to uncover insights from that data.
We provide two versions of the course:
An Introduction to PowerBI
This 3.5-hour session will introduce learners to PowerBI and the functionality that it provides. During this practical session you will learn:
- About the PowerBI process flow
- How to navigate the PowerBI Interfaces.
- How to connect to data sources.
- How to import data and create visualisations.
- How to Transform data: Create custom, change type, split – columns.
- How to build Dashboards and using data slicers.
No prior experience is required, but you will need to have access to PowerBI (Desktop version).
